Privacy policy

Last updated

Forever Classic collects very little personal data. There are no accounts, no advertising and no analytics. We only receive personal data when you send us a message or upload a tester file, and we use it only for that purpose.

Who is responsible for your data

Forever Classic is an independent fan project run from the United Kingdom. The operator of the site is the data controller for the personal data described here. You can reach us about privacy through the contact page.

What we collect and why

The collector addon is designed not to record your account name, character name, chat or inventory. The contact form uses your connection address only to limit spam, and does not store it.

Cookies and tracking

Forever Classic sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising tracking. Your character settings use your browser's local storage, which never leaves your device. If we add analytics or adverts in future, we will update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

Third parties

Game icons on the talent, race and class pages load from Blizzard's image servers, so your browser shares your IP address with Blizzard when it fetches them. Blizzard's own privacy policy covers that. Fonts and the 3D armour on the homepage are served from our own site. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask to access the personal data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, and receive a copy in a portable format. Use the contact page and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Forever Classic is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes, such as adding analytics, will be announced on the site before they take effect.
